KLOS/The Mark And Brian Morning Radio Show... held a contest with The Atomic Punks... and the finalists... that proved from their phone recordings... that they had what it took... to win upcoming Van Halen concert tickets. The finalists were called back... and asked to be at The Key Club... early on Monday morning. I ALMOST didn't get to make it... but the pictures in this album are proof that it really was a fun morning for everyone involved.

Sitting my friend Nikki down... holding the phone up to his Marshall... was the toughest part. Once we... HE... recorded his playing... I knew he'd win the tickets. Long story short... Nikki did a great job that morning and DID win tickets to Van Halen's upcoming show! Another friend of mine... Alex... proved that he knows his Alex Van Halen as well! Both Nikki and Alex won that morning... with three others. Sooo... congratulations to all of you... and my thanks to The Atomic Punks... for entertaining me and allowing me to see live VH... for many years now! You guys kick ass!
